The very first day I spoke to Vanecia Roberson (Vee) she made me feel motivated. She would continuously bring about a more positive side of me, just an overall positive energy. She gave me the courageous that I needed to not just fill out applications that she provided me with, but to also use a more professional aproach on job interviews. With her help I went on several job nterviews and also became confident to do my own individual job search. I landed an opportunity to be apart of the very first YAIP compensated internship program at LaGuardia Community College wich helps with business etiquette, financial literacy,etc. We are going to be placed at a work site to gain knowledge of are field of interest and we will have placement before graduation. This is LaGuardia's first Young Adult Internshp Program, and I'm glad to be apart of it. Had I not spoke to Vee who took her time out to see apart of me that I could no longer see than I would not have had the right personality for the job.

From the first day I was contacted by Pam Mardis I began feeling hopeful. You see I'd been out of work for almost three years and frankly was beginning to think I'd never go back to work. My wonderful wife was carrying most of the financial load and for a guy, on disability or not, it gets a little disheartening; even to the point of depression. I had been hired at a company called 'Senior Helpers' several months before speaking with Pam, but they only provided one job helping an elderly gentleman for three days, and that quickly fizzled out. Pam explained how the Rewards program work and frankly it sounded too good to be true. But she followed through with her word and that meant the world to me. Every week I began receiving from her all of these job possibilities. And that's exactly what they were, possibilities sprinkled with her positive and encouraging words, which added up to hope, and whenever a person has hope the attitude immediately changes. Now I'm hooked up with a company called 'Comfort Keepers' that came to me through Pam's consistent help. They have continually provided work for meIt's a good company; I went to their annual Christmas party last week, and the following week I had a Christmas bonus in my paycheck for $150.00, boy did we need that. On several occasion I would feel defeated because I kept applying for employment; job after job, after job with no response or when I interviewed and did not get the position you said it going to be okay because this was going to be my year to get your dream job and you were right.
